Ladies & Gents, the lonelyband will be playing a big fat lengthy set at the Maidstone Union Bar on the 9th of June. New material galore!

Don't forget to bring a flyer so you can get in for a measly £4.

Flyers: Most venues count the flyers they receive at the door, and they use this as the basis for whether we get booked again! Thanks for your support!

The Band's Review:

If you want something doing, do it yerself! I've been on holiday for a week, and when I get back, I see that none of those lazy bastards have done a review for last week's gig! Honestly, you just can't get the staff...

Anyway, the gig was really cool. We were trying out a new approach to getting the right vibe across, and I think it really worked. We played for nearly an hour, and it was one of the better shows we've ever done! From a playing point of view, our accuracy was way up, and I still had plenty of energy left after the show- an hour usually kills me stone dead! Thanks are due to everyone who made the trip to Maidstone to see us on a Wednesday, as they are to King Kudo who played after us. They were really rather good, and their guitarist did a nice line in playing his guitar cable!

Fi:

Just got back from the Maidstone gig and I feel compelled to let everyone know that that was the best fucking lonelyband gig ever!!! If you missed it - gutted, 'cos the boys rocked better & harder than I've ever seen before.

Gav's new Gothic Explorer made it's first public appearance and makes the Warlock sound like a fisher price toy \m/

That was not all that was unveiled - half way through the set Tarek decided to play semi naked!!! Top half only girls, not quite up to Nick Oliveri standards - maybe next time - & I'm sure the pictures will be up soon for all to enjoy...

Blessings was the highlight for me, closely followed by Plan B but everything else was pretty fantastic. I just want to know when you are going to play PLS FKP MLIFE??????

I'm off to bed now with a big cheesy grin on my face as I'm sure Chris, Gav, Stixxx & Tarik will be as well (only Gav gets to come with me though ;-) )

Lots of Love

The boys played thier socks off and tarik played his shirt off. As Fi said this was with out doubt the best gig the lads have done. With each band member growing in confidence they are sounding better and better.

The new song called Poogle is very good and Lumps sounded great. With Tarik making the bass duties his own, Funder and him make a very solid rythm unit which Gav and Chris bounce off with ease.

A deffo big step in the right direction for the boys, I hope they can keep up the high levels of performance they now set for themselves with last night. If they can I am certain bigger and better things are around the corner for TLB.

Last night maidstone next year who knows......

Geoff:

Yeah, what Fi said!!

First few songs the sound man must have been unsing the settings for the other band as it was feedback city and the vocals kept distorting (distorted guitars good, distorted vocals bad). Either that or he just turned the whole lot up to 11 and then put his earplugs in. However once the soundman pulled his finger out and you could actually recognise the songs again it rocked hard.
