North Heath Social Club

Doors Open: 19:00

Band on at: 19:30

Price: £2.50

The business bit: £2:50 to get in (just to cover our costs, comrades), but you will easily make that back in savings at the CHEAP BAR!!

The rockin' bit: A very special lonelyband gig

plus

MELT
(that's a band, not us messing with the air conditioning).

plus

THE LAZYBAND
(who are they???)

plus

Us lot spinning some discs!

The important bit: Bring an extra £5 with you, to get a copy of the record.
Bargain of the century, I'm sure you'll agree!
We'll sign copies upon request (as long as you don't mind rude words written shakily in black marker).

Times: Please note that these are approximate times which have been known to change and/or be wrong!

Flyers: Most venues count the flyers they receive at the door, and they use this as the basis for whether we get booked again! Thanks for your support!

The Band's Review:

I can't believe we actually got away with it!

Yesterday was the longest day we've had so far!

After weeks of stressing, we managed to get our grubby mitts on the first copies of the record on Friday, ready for the launch (trust me, it was close!)

Then it was up at 8am to get the website ready for its 12pm launch. Gav has been working really hard on the site for the last few weeks, but especially in the last couple of days, and we all think it's tremendous, so huge gratitude is due to the Uber-Schwein for that.

I understand that a few of you had some probs when the site switched over, but everything was cool about 5 seconds later, so no harm done. (What do you want? The moon on a stick??)

Then it was time for the launch party itself!
Fiiiiiiinnnnnaaalllllllllyyyyy!!!

Yes, the lazyband was us (like you hadn't guessed!). We did an acoustic set, basically just to do something a bit different for everyone who has come to the other shows and seen largely the same set 3 times. That's our thankyou to you (I know beer or cash would have been better, but that's all you're getting!)

Then we had a gracefully songwriterly set from Melt, followed by our terrifying tastes in records (There is nothing wrong with Slayer followed by ABBA! What is wrong with you people, honestly!).

And to round things off, we got up and jammed through the entire of FARRAGO in order (how many bands do that??).
I think it was the best gig so far, but we all think it was definitely the most fun. We shifted a fair few copies of the record, and managed to make enough cash to cover the room hire, so many thanks to everyone for coming!

So, now that the album has been launched, let's see where we can take it...

Set List:

Stevie
Role Model
Strangely Beautiful
Leeches
Reason
See It Through
Africa
Count My Blessings
Bad Guy
