The Playroom, London W1

Doors Open: 7:30pm

Band on at: TBC

Price: £5

Another gig in the Playroom (which is in Chez Stelios). It's a London show. On a Friday. Drink and lonelyband! Niiiice!

Times: Please note that these are approximate times which have been known to change and/or be wrong!

Flyers: Most venues count the flyers they receive at the door, and they use this as the basis for whether we get booked again! Thanks for your support!

The Band's Review:

Such a rare event as a lonelyband show on a non-work night in a public-transport-able location demanded a good gig - and it was.

Although the early emptiness and lack of bar in the Playroom itself was certainly insufficient for a rock event, the room soon filled up and the stairs down from the bar upstairs at least posed a challenge. The supporting bands warmed everyone up nicely and so did the drink.

The band was probably anticipating a nightmare after an apparently energetic rehearsal the night before (how selfish of them to peak behind closed doors!) but the expected string and stick breakages were kept at bay until the last song when probably no-one noticed anyway. My attempts to sabotage Funder's sticks with a candle flame made no difference.

Pretty good on the playing side, a clear sound, good atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyable. And their main heckler was polite. Lucky for some!

Fingers crossed for another weekend gig sometime soon. Also, 7th Jan sounds like a good date guys!
