Fade

So that’s it. It’s all over.

After a very loud and sweaty show in the B&V on Boxing day, the bones of the lonelyband have now been laid to rest, and we now go our separate ways (well, musically at least). Click here for the gig review.

I would just like to say thanks to everyone who came down to support us for the final show.

On the subject of thanks, let’s give a shout to all those who deserve it...

Thanks to...

All our friends and families.

To Wendy, Fi and other assorted WAGs for putting up with our nonsense.

To Wendy for letting us record half of ELBO in her house!

To all our parents for nodding sagely and saying “that’s nice dear” at the appropriate times.

To Fi, Ian, Malc, Vici, Dan, David, Ali and Tarx for taking photos over the years.

To Morals, Geoff and Ian for rambling drunkly on Farrago.

To Steve Dabner for chucking in a few quid to help us make Hell is Other People.

To Mel, Dan and Matt for playing on Hell is Other People.

To Tom French and Dan Dabner for being in the lonelyband and not being drama queens about leaving.

To Gav for building this brilliant website.

To Funder for being adorable.

To Natasha and Dan for making videos (or *almost* making videos...).

To all the bands we’ve ever played with. Some of you were nearly as good as us! Someday, with hard work...

To everyone who has got Hell is Other People stuck in their head.

To Tarik, for giving the band a second wind when we needed it most.

To Bec Elliott for the first album cover.

To Tarik for the other ones!

To Steve Davidson and Matt Elliott for their contributions to the first album’s material.

To all the London promoters who weren’t wasting our time. Also to the Easter bunny and Santa Claus.

To everyone that made the journey to see our far-flung shows in Maidstone, Canterbury, Central London etc. I wouldn’t have bothered, so I’m always amazed when you do.

And indeed, to everyone who had seen us live, downloaded our songs, bought CDs or supported us in any way. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This site will now go into a state of limbo, but please feel free to recount your favourite lonelyband memories/ leave abuse on our guestbook.

There will of course be new musical projects, and you’ll get info on these from www.thelonelyband.com. But in the meantime, au revior mes amis!

Hugs & Beers,
CSD

Every Law But One

Hello lonelyband listeners!

Every Law But One, the third and final lonelyband record is now complete. Quite simply, it is a masterpiece.

Here is the tracklisting:

1.Black
2.Law
3.Lust
4.Saint
5.Love
6.Left
7.Faith
8.Fear
9.Fade

You can ONLY get this record by coming to the final lonelyband show on the 26th December. It will be free. But don’t come scrounging before or afterwards, because you will quite rightly get told to piss off.
